The idea of AGI is broken, hi SROW

SROW(Same Result in its Own Way) is the real way to measure AI impact

The idea of AGI is a completely flawed lens for measuring the distance between AI and the world of work and should be abandoned. The impact is much closer when it achieves SROW (Same Results in Its Own Way).

Artificial General Intelligence, or AGI, is when AI has the same abilities as humans.
We can say that "work" is the effort, using human abilities, to fulfill the objective of meeting the achievable needs and desires of human beings, so we could make an analogy to a puzzle, where the image is the objective and the pieces are the capabilities of each person that, when put together, create the image.

AGI fails catastrophically because it is an anthropocentric approach.
It says, first the human and their capabilities, then AI will impact when it manages to take the shapes of the human puzzle pieces, then the human puzzle pieces are replaced by AI.
The problem is that there are infinite variations of pieces that generate the same image; the human one is only one.
The true impact of AI is when the new pieces, with different shapes (because AI will never be like a human), end up forming the same image SROW (Same Results in Its Own Way).

Currently, we see a series of constant blows because different parts of the old puzzle are replaced by the new pieces (or group of pieces) of the new puzzle.
This is what generates the doubts and annoyances of current AI implementations, because we are trying to cut the new pieces to fit the old puzzle (doubts), but little by little, we are also cutting the old pieces so that the new ones fit with the fewest possible cuts (annoyances).

Therefore, the real impact index is not that AI has the same capabilities as humans (AGI), but that it achieves the Same Objectives in its Own Way (SROW).

In this analysis, I considered the objective to be static only to simplify and avoid lengthening the text, but in reality, the image of the puzzle also changes and will tend to take a form that is optimal for these new pieces because this is what competition and productivity improvements dictate, further shortening the time to impact. With this in mind, we can assure that the main skill in the world of work is being able to think like a machine to adapt to the interaction with the new pieces, since the new puzzle, for an indefinite period, will be hybrid.
